该剧取材于广东省揭阳市东山区阳美村，是首部关于“玉”题材的全新风格电视剧，主要讲述主人公夏文轩一生历尽磨难，国恨家仇爱恨交织的一代玉人鲜为人知的故事。剧情从清末民国初期演绎至改革开放，打开了阳美村百年历史风云画卷，分上中下三个部分。
