《蔚蓝之境》是中国的纪录片团队第一次以自然纪录片的方式，全面、系统地拍摄海洋的故事，也是迄今为止我国规模最大、范围最广、内容最为全面的海洋拍摄行动。本片共6集，以中国近海为舞台，带领观众纵览海面冰封的渤海湾，四季分明的黄海、东海，长夏无冬的南海，分别从季节、潮流、滨海湿地、海岛、海湾、生存挑战等几个角度，讲述海洋生物的故事，呈现一片神秘、壮阔、活力的蔚蓝之境。
1939年初，日寇占领两广，留守坚持作战的东江纵队组建了一支城市行动队。这支部队的战场不在高山和原野，而在光怪陆离的都市。行动队的队员们各个身怀绝技，本领不同。有出身日本军校，擅长各种枪械的队长祈中卫，绰号“中尉”；也有出身大户人家，擅长轻功手雷夺命飞刀的梅彦芳，绰号“一剪梅”；还有忠诚木讷，功夫了得的北方帅哥马振奎，绰号“拐子马”；另有擅长爆破，专治各种不服的的马振奎妹妹马兰兰，绰号“蓝凤凰”；以及风情万种、擅长信息刺探的雷秀梓，绰号“九岁红”和巧舌如簧、擅长化妆套取情报的刘相林，绰号“刘公子”。这样一个小组像古时的剑客，总是潜入敌人的心脏，进行着打击日寇的侵华行动。
1943年，特种兵部队奉命深入敌后摧毁日寇大规模杀伤性武器，却遭日寇设计而全军覆没，队长尤龙的遗孀周至柔的小妹周志卿，奉国民党军统高层命令查清此事。调查过程中，周志卿身陷险境，正巧被我地下党人赵凯所救，自此一见钟情。两人通力合作，经历重重险境。周至柔是国民党特种部队“猛龙”大队大队长的妻子，中共高级特工，在“猛龙”大队被日本间谍告密而全军覆没后，她同时执行查处奸细并摧毁日寇的任务。当他们终于查出了真相，并摧毁了日寇的大规模杀伤性武器时，更为严峻的考验接踵而至，日寇的惊天阴谋渐渐浮出水面，而最危险的日谍“枭”仍然潜伏在他们身边……

本剧是一部刻画了没有手枪等武器的民间保镖活跃模样的作品，木村在上一部作品中饰演作为组织的一员守护客户的主人公岛崎章，而在此次的作品中，木村则将成为独立的私人BG，与敌视自身的组织进行对立竞争。
